When Sarah met Poppy
On Father's Day at 39+6 weeks, labour began gently with on-and-off contractions throughout the day. By late evening things picked and they arrived at the hospital just after 12:30am, where she was already 8cm and ready to meet her baby. She moved into the birth pool and just 6 pushes later at 1:03am, baby Poppy was born. After a calm water birth, they enjoyed skin-to-skin, breastfeeding, and a quiet family moment before heading home just hours later as a family of four.
